The purpose of food

The main functions of food are to provide us with energy, and to provide all the cells of the body with the many nutrients that they need in order to perform the multitude of tasks that are necessary each day.

In this short video, I discuss the different categories of food – such as macro-nutrients and micro-nutrients – and some tips for how we can ensure that our bodies are getting the proper amounts of each.

A wide variety of whole natural, unaltered food is always foundational, but taking a quality multivitamin/mineral can also be helpful in ensuring that nutrient deficiencies do not occur.
